South African coal rallies on supply disruptions, export offers surge

South African thermal coal prices at Indian ports rose sharply w-o-w. As per BigMint-s assessment, exw-Paradip 5,500 NAR increased by INR 550/t to INR 10,350/t, while 4,800 NAR surged by INR 500/t to INR 8,950/t. Export offers for 5,500 NAR rose by $4-5 w-o-w to $90.5/t FOB RBCT, amid mine maintenance and operational disruptions in South Africa, tightening supply and supporting portside sentiment.
