South Africa, the world’s biggest chrome producer and exporter, has approved a proposal to impose tax on Chrome ore exports. This measure is taken in consideration to support the domestic ferro chrome industry. The details of export tax is yet to be disclosed. China is almost entirely dependent on South Africa for its chrome ore supplies.
