South Africa: Transnet lifts force majeure on 9 coal exporters

South Africa’s state-owned logistics firm Transnet has lifted force majeure on 9 coal exporters with which it had reached agreement and would soon begin talks on new medium-to-long term contracts. This will make both Transnet and 9 exporters to honour their contracts. The force majeure had come following Transnet’s inability to handle the large scale vandalism and theft around coal transportation.
