South African RB1 (6000 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal prices have risen by $19/t in a day to $321/t FOB. Buying sentiments in the coal market turned strong after Russian energy company Gazprom announced a drastic cut in deliveries to Europe from this week. South African coal exports to Europe have increased since the Russia-Ukraine war broke out this year.
