South Africa: Merafe’s ferro chrome production stable y-o-y in CY’22

South Africa’s ferro chrome smelter Glencore-Merafe recorded production at 1.48 mnt in CY’22, almost stable y-o-y (with a negligible 1% increase) from 1.46 mnt in CY’21. However, ferro chrome production in Q4CY’22 registered a rise of 17% q-o-q to 378,000 t from 324,000 t in Q3CY’22.
