South Africa: Key coal rail lines to RBCT Port close after train derailment

Two key rail lines leading to South Africa’s RBCT Port have been closed after the derailment of a train carrying approximately 60 wagons of coal for exports. Owing to the development, coal deliveries to the port are likely to remain limited. As per CoalMint data, high-CV RB1 (6000 NAR) prices have fallen by $31/t w-o-w to $186/t FOB amid weak European demand.
