- South African iron ore exports in Jan-Nov’21 rose to 61.30 mn t from 58.65 mn t in the same period last year, a y-o-y rise of 4%, as per data recently released by customs.
- China was the largest importer with 31.52 mn t, followed by the Netherlands with 6.70 mn t.
- Iron ore exports rose sharply by 60% in Nov’21 to 6.30 mn t compared with 3.93 mn t in Oct on resumption in buying by China.
