South Africa: Iron ore exports rise by 20% m-o-m in Nov’22

South Africa’s iron ore exports increased by 20% m-o-m in Nov’22 to 3.88 mnt from 3.25 mnt in Oct’22, as per customs data.
China was the largest importer with 2.64 mnt followed by the Netherlands and Mozambique with 310,103 t and 279,748 t respectively.
However, total export volumes fell by 13% y-o-y to 53.26 mnt in Jan-Nov’22 as against 61.3 mnt in the year-ago period.
