South Africa: Iron ore exports rise 13%, m-o-m, in May

South Africa’s iron ore export shipments increased by 13% m-o-m in May’22 to 5.33 mnt from 4.72 mnt in Apr.
Export shipments to China witnessed a sharp rise of 81% m-o-m to 3.34 mnt in May.
However, export volumes to The Netherlands decreased by 73% on the month to 396,000 t compared to 1.47 mnt in Apr.
