South Africa: Iron ore exports fall by 35% m-o-m in Oct’24

South Africa’s iron ore exports dropped by 35% m-o-m to 3.26 mnt in Oct’24 compared to 5.01 mnt in Sep, as per vessel line-up data maintained by BigMint.
China was the largest importer (1.04 mnt) followed by Japan (0.57 mnt).
Kumba mines was the leading exporter at 1.40 mnt, down by 46% m-o-m, followed by Assmang at 1.20 mnt.
