South Africa: Iron ore export shipments dip 2% m-o-m in Jul’22

South Africa’s iron ore export shipments inched down 2% m-o-m to 5.11 mnt in Jul’22 from 5.22 mnt in Jun’22, as per vessel line-up data.
China was the largest importer with 2.58 mnt, followed by the Netherlands and South Korea with 1.02 mnt and 0.38 mnt, respectively.
Total export volumes in Jan-Jul’22 were up 3% y-o-y to 34.01 mnt against 32.88 mnt in the corresponding period last year.
