A fire broke out in RBCT’s conveyor belt route on 13 Oct’21 which has affected operations of Transnet Port Terminals, as per latest notification. A similar such incident occurred last week, the notification notes adding that investigation is underway. The development is likely to affect coal prices as RB1 (6000 NAR) grade coal prices are already trading higher at $231/t as on 14 Oct’21.
