South Africa: Ferro chrome exports increase by 6% on-month in March

South African ferro chrome exports increased by 6% to 260,000 t in Mar’22 from 246,000 t in Feb. Export volumes increased owing to a rise in demand by Chinese buyers. However, on a yearly basis, ferro chrome exports decreased by 30% in Q1 CY’22. The major importing countries for South Africa were China (0.100 mn t) followed by Mozambique, US, and Japan in Mar’22.
