South Africa: Chrome ore exports increase by 10%, m-o-m, in March

South Africa’s chrome ore exports increased by 10% to 1.358 mn t in Mar’22 from 1.29 mn t in Feb’22. Exports surged on low inventory at Chinese ports. Meanwhile, on a yearly basis, chrome ore exports increased by 14% in Q1 CY’22. The major importing countries for South Africa were China followed by Mozambique, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
