South Africa: Chrome ore exports inch down 6%, m-o-m, in Feb’22

South Africa’s chrome ore exports decreased by 6% m-o-m to 1.23 mnt in Feb’22 due to a decrease in shipments to China during the Lunar New Year holidays amid ample inventory. Meanwhile, ferro chrome exports inched down by 33% m-o-m to 0.24 mnt in Feb. The major importing countries were China at 0.650 mnt followed by Mozambique and Indonesia.
