South African chrome ore exports were recorded at 1.074 mn t in May’21, down 26.7% m-o-m against 1.465 mn t in April, as per customs data maintained by SteelMint. Chrome ore prices shot up due to higher electricity tariffs in South Africa that impacted chrome ore exports, as per the latest reports.
