South Africa exported 1.056 mn t of chrome ore in Sep’21 – down 1.7% on the month against 1.07 mn t in Aug. The reduction in export volumes is mainly because of a drop in exports to China and Mozambique. However, South Africa’s total exports of chrome ore stood at 10.464 mn t in Jan-Sep’21 – an increase of 10.1% on the year.
