This is the main peak time for steel market but due to slow construction activities in all over India steel prices are not improving as per the expectation.
Structure manufacturing plants in Raipur hike their prices by Rs 1,500-2,000/MT in a month time. Mahamaya's 90 Angle is being offered at Rs 34,200/MT, in line Sarthak Ispat offers 200 Beam at Rs 34,400/MT which was traded on Rs 32,100/MT and Rs 33000/MT in December mid respectively (all Basic prices).
Market players say's that demand for re-bar and finish definitely got better this month but not as much as expected. In Maharashtra re-bar prices increased due to housing sector demand. TMT offers at Rs 36,600/MT (Basic prices) in Mumbai.
