Silico Manganese
prices in Europe slips by EUR 20/MT.
The current price
for (SiMn) 65/17 is hovering between EUR 1,000-1,050/MT or USD 1,250-1320/MT.
According to market
players, “Buyers are hesitant to make bookings at present owing to the
sensitivity in Dollar & the slowdown in European economy.”
In Japan,
the import duty on silico manganese has been reduced from 2.5% to 1.6% on
account of the pressure from end-users. Prices of (SiMn) 65/16 however, remain
unchanged and are being traded at around USD 1,280/MT CIF Japanese ports.
Silico manganese prices
in US & China also remain unchanged.
