On Feb. 26, a five member team of Justice M. B. Shah Commission arrived Odisha to hear government and mine owners, before deciding on the final report, which is to start on Wednesday and will continue for three days after Justice M. B. Shah, Chairman of the commission arrives.
Team leader U. V. Singh said, “This time we will hear the views of lessees on mining activities in the state. They have been served notices for the purpose.”

“As the government has received the royalty, it should not treat excess production as a violation,†a mines owner said.
