55,450 MT iron ore was sold via Goa 7th iron ore e-auction.
As per bidsheet released today by DMG, Government of Goa, Sesa Sterlite procured majority of the sold quantity in 7th iron ore e-auction. In its e-auction held on 4 Aug’15, out of 1,009,786 MT iron ore offered, merely 55,450 MT was sold.
The e-auction fetched dull response owing to high base prices. As anticipated earlier, Sesa Sterlite procured 96% of the allotted material. The material was from codli mines, which incorporates a major part of its mining operations.

Recently, DMG, Government of Goa has put forward the tentative lots for its 8th e-auction through which 4.7 MnT iron ore would be put under hammer.
