Though, buying activities in overseas market is dull for Pig Iron, producers of the same in Minas Gerais state of South Eastern Brazil have raised merchant Pig Iron prices for exports purposes.
Current offers are standing in the range of $370-390/mt FOB and is an increase of 5% in comparison to prices quoted at $360/mt FOB in December last year.
The Christmas and New Year holidays in the country are not letting either demand or prices of Pig Iron to rise in both domestic and exports market.
Domestic Pig Iron prices in Brazil are anticipated to gain in the next month due to ongoing festive season.
