Ferrous scrap
prices in Southeast Asia are heading towards the US$ 400/MT CFR. Currently, the
offers have touched a 18 month low level.
Recent deals were concluded by Singapore and
Vietnam importers for HMS 1&2 (80:20) in containers from Europe and the USA
at US$ 410-420/MT CFR this week, down from US$ 25/MT CFR 2 weeks ago.
Prices last reached US$ 410-420/MT CFR level in
the last week of December 2010.
