Scrap auctions by auto parts producers in north India receive active response

Iron and steel scrap prices fluctuated across major Indian markets in the first week of May’22. An Uttarakhand-based auto parts producer conducted an auction for around 200 t of auto end-cutting scrap that fetched bids at around INR 51,200/t exw. In another auction from the same region, 520 t of iron and steel scrap received bids at INR 52,900/t exw.
