SCCL coal production and dispatches both have declined over the month after achieving highs in Mar’17.
The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is a Government coal mining company located in Telangana. SCCL’s monthly performance was dull in Apr’17 compared with Mar’17, as the company witnessed fall in monthly coal production and dispatches. Moreover, the company failed to achieve its production and dispatch target for the month.
Coal Production in Apr’17:
SCCL produced 4.49 MnT in Apr’17 which was lower by 37% M-o-M compared with 7.18 MnT in Mar’17.Apart from the monthly fall, Production marginally improved by 1% Y-o-Y compared with 4.45 MnT in Apr’16.
SCCL had earlier set coal production target of 5.12 MnT in Apr’17; however, the company failed to achieve its target attaining 88% of the target set.
Coal Dispatches in Apr’17:
SCCL coal dispatches achieved record growth in Apr’17 on the yearly basis. The company’s coal dispatch stood 5.37 MnT in Apr’17 which was 16% higher than 4.64 MnT coal dispatched during Apr’16.
However, Monthly coal dispatches in Apr’17 suffered downfall of 17% M-o-M compared with 6.47 MnT dispatched in Mar’17.
Besides, SCCL achieved 96% of the coal dispatch target of 5.59 MnT set for Apr’17.
