SCCL Achieves Coal Dispatch Target for Apr’18

Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), the coal company operating in Telangana, has attained its monthly target of coal dispatches set for Apr’18.

SCCL had dispatched 5.77 MnT coal in Apr’18, which was 6% higher than the corresponding target of 5.44 MnT. On the monthly basis, coal dispatched by the company had fell 9% M-o-M from 6.36 MnT in Mar’18, but was 7% higher on the year compared with 5.37 MnT in Apr’17.

Like CIL, SCCL’s coal dispatch had exceeded its monthly production in Apr’18. Monthly coal dispatch was 1.26 MnT more than the production of 4.51 MnT coal in Apr’18.

The Company’s coal production in Apr’18 had fell 39% M-o-M from 7.37 MnT in Mar’18, but was slightly higher on the year compared with 4.48 MnT in Apr’17.

SCCL had missed its coal production target for Apr’18; the company had attained 85% of its set target of 5.31 MnT during the month.

Area-wise Performance in Apr’18:
Among the 11 coal producing regions of SCCL, production in only two regions namely-Ramagundam-I and Srirampur, were recorded higher than the corresponding monthly targets in Apr’18.

Highest coal production was registered in Kothagudem area, which had also witnessed the maximum coal dispatch during the month.

SCCL’s coal supplies to NTPC power plants stood 1.35 MnT, while coal dispatch to its own, Singareni Power Plant, was marked at 0.432 MnT in Apr’18.
