Sarda Energy sponge iron and billet output decreases in Q1

The company’s sponge iron production in Q1 FY ’21 declined by 31% q-o-q to 46,000 t against 66,000 t during Q4 FY ’20 owing to pandemic. Steel billet output also fell by 25% and totaled 25,000 t against 34,000 t in the previous quarter. Sponge iron and billet output slipped by 44% and 50% y-o-y respectively.
