SAIL has invited an open tender for tentative purchase of 15,550 MT High Carbon Ferro Manganese from indigenous sources for its different units/plants covered under Market 1.
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products including pig iron, flat and long products and special steels at its plants spread over India. Company required a projected quantity of about 38,650 MT HC Ferro Manganese from indigenous sources for its different plants/units.The material is required in three cycles of 2 months each between Feb’17-Jul’17.
The first cycle (Feb-Mar’17) of procurement has been completed by the company and now released a tender for second cycle (Apr-May’17) procurement.

Chemical specifications
The material should contain Manganese 70.0% min, Carbon 7.5% max, Silicon 1.5% max, Phosphorous 0.43% max and Sulphur 0.05% max.
Tender schedule (IST)
The due date for bid submission is 1 Apr’17 till 13:00 hrs and the techno-commercial opening is on 3 Apr’17 at 11:00 hrs.
