SAIL Seeks Conversion Agent for Structurals at Nagpur

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products including Pig iron, flat/long products and special steels at its plants spread over India.

The company has invited three separate tenders for appointment of conversion agent from bonafide, resourceful firm/company for conversion of 1,500 MT semi finished into light structurals, 750 MT semi finished into medium structurals and 1,500 MT semi finished into heavy structurals per month at Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The tender will be kept valid for the period of 90 days from the date of technical bid opening.

Successful bidder will be appointed as the conversion agent (CA) initially for the period of 4 years, extendable by 1 years solely at the discretion of SAIL subject to satisfactory performance.

Eligibility criteria

1. Bidder should have a valid Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) license for manufacture of light, medium and heavy structural materials of required sizes.
2. Bidder needs to submit the current dated banker’s certificate, income tax returns with acknowledgment and audit financial statement.
3. The minimum average annual turnover of the bidder should be INR 1 crore and net worth should be positive.

Pre bid meeting: 4 Jan’17 at 15:00 hrs
Bid submission due date: 9 Jan’17 till 15:00 hrs
