SAIL has intended to appoint a steel conversion agent for conversion of semi finish to TMT at Rourkela plant.
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of the largest steel producers in India, has issued tender for appointment of Conversion Agent(s) for converting semi finish to rebar at its Rourkela plant.
Tenderer should be a bonafide, resourceful, financially sound person(s)/firm(s)/ company(s) capable of converting semi finish to rebar.
Eligibility criteria
- Bidder should posses a valid BIS license for manufacture rebar.
- Required to submit Audit Financial Statement.
- Required to submit Banker’s certificate.
- Average annual turnover should me minimum 1 crore and net worth should be positive.
- Should have embossing facility.
- Have capacity to produce rebar through any of the thermo mechanical treatment processes out of thermax, tempcore and processes like evcon or turbo quenching.
- Preferably have ISO certification.
- Should be registered with sales tax and excise authorities.
- Non-operational mills will not be considered.
