Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), India’s largest steelmaker, is offering basic grade Pig iron at INR 14,800/MT, ex-Rourkela till 23 Dec’15.
The company has also offered additional discount of upto INR 200/MT on bulk purchase of upto 5,000 MT. Previous to this open offer, the company had auctioned about 30,000 MT material and sold about 3,900 MT at INR 14,400/MT, ex-plant.

Meanwhile, Neelachal Ispat, another primary manufacturer, has rolled over its prices. Currently, offers for N1 grade and N2 grade Pig iron are assessed at INR 15,200/MT and INR 15,500/MT ex-Cuttack with discount of upto INR 400/MT and INR 300/MT respectively on bulk purchase.
