SAIL Issues Tender for Purchase of 40,000 MT Pellets

Steel Authority if India Limited (SAIL) has invited tender for purchase of 40,000 MT iron ore pellets for its Rourkela Steel plant.

The required quantity of pellets should be transported by rail. The minimum required quantity of Fe content in the iron ore pellets should be 63.5%. Interested bidders should submit their quotation on Total Landed Cost basis.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Tenderer must be a manufacturer of Iron Ore Pellet.
2. Tenderer must confirm to supply a minimum quantity of 7000 MT of pellet by rail in a month to any Steel Plants/ PSUs/ Public Limited Company during last two years.
3. The average annual turnover of last three years of the supplier should be at least Rs 4.0 crore

Delivery Schedule: 1st rake of pellet to be delivered within 30 days from the date of placement of order. The next delivery shall be commenced as per monthly program issued from RSP.

Last date for submission of bids will be 23 May’16 at 16.00 hrs and technical bids will open on 24 May’16 at 11.00 hrs.
