SAIL Issues First Tender for Export of 25,000 MT Commercial Rails

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has floated a global tender for the export of commercial grade rails of 20,000-25,000 MT quantity.

The material to be exported comprises of commercial grade rails of 60 kg for non track use. This is the first time the company has issued an export tender for commercial rails.

Export duty as applicable in sellers country shall be borne by the seller and other duties payable shall be borne by the buyer. Bids for the same will be open on 10 Feb’17. Validity of the offer is till 13 Feb’17.

1. C: 0.60-0.80%
2. Mn: 0.80-1.30%
3. Si: 0.10-0.50%
4. S: Max 0.035%
5. P: Max0.035%
6. Al: Max 0.015%

Prices should be quoted on FoB Vizag Port. Also, on the closure of deal with the concerned party, the shipping of the material will commence from 31 Mar’17. Prices are to be quoted in USD per MT basis for all the markets.
