SAIL Issues Corrigendum for 8,765 MT HC Ferro Chrome

Steel Authority of India (SAIL), India’s largest steelmaker, has issued a corrigendum against the tender for purchase of 8,765 MT HC ferro chrome, which was floated on 1 Oct’15. The tender was due on 28 Oct’15, which is now extended to 16 Nov’15 till 12:00 hrs.

Projected purchase quantity will meet the requirement of the following plants:

1.Salem Steel Plant (SSP) – 8,100 MT (size – 10-70 mm)
2.Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) – 240 MT (size – 10-70 mm)
3.Alloy Steel Plant (ASP) – 200 MT (size – 10-30 mm)
4.Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) – 100 MT (size – 20-50 mm)
5.Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Plant (VISL) – 100 MT (size – 10-70 mm)
6.Bokaro Steel Plant (BSP) – 25 MT (size – 25-70 mm)

Item specification:

Chromium 57%-63%, Carbon 6-8%, Sulphur 0.04% max, Phosphorous 0.05% max, Silicon 4% Max. For SSP, Sulphur + Phosphorous together should not exceed to 0.085%.
