Steel authority of India ( SAIL) , state owned and India’s largest steel producer has increased its offering of blooms, slabs, and plates in the export market. The company has floated two different export tender for export of prime mild steel non-alloy concast blooms and mild steel concast slabs.
First tender export of 5,000-10,000 MT concast bloom which is expiring on 16 May’16. Prices should be quoted on FoB, Haldia basis and is expiring on 16 May’16.
Another export tender for 25,000-30,000 MT mild steel concast slabs (grade EN 10025 S235JR, JISG 3106 SM400A) is expiring on 13 May’16. Prices should be quoted on FoB, Vizag basis.
Export duty as applicable in sellers country shall be borne by the seller and other duties payable shall be borne by the buyer. Also, on the closure of deal with the concerned party, the shipping of the material will commence from 15 Jul’16.
Recently, the company also floated another export tender for export of 15,000 MT HR Plates of ASTM A36 grade or equivalent which is expiring on 16 May’16.
SAIL is aggressively eyeing export market owing to rise in global prices coupled with falling domestic demand.
SAIL produced 10.6 MnT crude steel in first nine months of FY16 and 13.91 MnT in FY15.
