Government owned Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has declared the revision of rebar prices yesterday for the month of Nov’16.
As per our trade sources, SAIL has increased rebar prices by INR 1,000/MT for the Nov’16. The new prices will be applicable from 1 Nov’16.
Since Sep’16, the prices have been continuously rising, owing to sharp rise in raw-material prices mainly imported coking coal.
Current offers are at around INR 34,500/MT (including excise duty, VAT extra) ex-Chennai. While small/ medium size rebar manufacturers based in Chennai are offered at INR 29,500-30,000/MT for the same size material.
Note: Prices are basic & it covers large manufacturers includes SAIL, RINL, JSW etc.
