State-owned Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from overseas Coking Coal suppliers for entering into a long term agreement with the steel producer for supplying both Hard and Soft Coking Coal for the entire FY18.
According to the steel major, only overseas entities are eligible to bid for the supply. The eligibility criteria are as the following:
–Overseas coal producers, owning, managing and controlling Coking Coal mines outside India,
–Overseas coal suppliers having marketing rights alongwith undertaking from coal producers for extending guarantee as well as warranty for Coking Coal offered for supply.
–Overseas coal suppliers having Letter of Authority from Coking Coal producers.
SAIL has specified that the size of the Coking Coal to be supplied should be of 0-50 mm in respect to both Hard and Soft coal types, with the following specifications:
