SAIL, one of the major steel producers in India, floated a tender of purchase of 32,782 MT silico manganese for its various plants from indigenous manufacturers. The requirement of material is for a period of two months (1st cycle) – June, July. The techno-commercial bid revealed that 9 plants had participated in the tender, for Market 1 – Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), and IISCO Steel Plant (ISP). Alloy Steel Plant (ASP) order has been cancelled. The online reverse auction tender process has been completed and following are the L-1 (Lowest) price for SAIL’s various plants:
