Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) had floated a global tender for the export of prime mild steel non-alloy concast billet of 10,000-15,000 MT quantity on 03 Feb’17.
The company has canceled the tender on account of no bids received; according to sources.
The material was likely to be shipped from Haldia Port and comprised of size 150 *150*12,000 mm.
Now, the company is likely to ship the cargo to Nepal at USD 380/MT (Ex-mills) which is equivalent to USD 395/MT, FOB Haldia Port.
Another recent billet export tender for 20,000 MT blooms (150X150 mm) by Vizag Steel got cancelled as bidders failed to submit bank guarantee on time. The tender was closed on 19 Jan’17 and received bids at USD 398/MT, FoB Vizag Port.
