S. Korea: Hyundai Steel fails to secure Russian scrap contract

South Korean steel major Hyundai Steel had placed bids for Russian-origin A3 scrap at $515/t CFR last week. According to SteelDaily, the contract failed to conclude due to bid-offer disparity. The previous deal had taken place at $545/t towards end Oct. Hyundai Steel’s crude steel output was recorded at 4.61 mn t in Q3CY’21, largely stable q-o-q.
