Russia, the world’s 6th largest steel producer country enlarged in its long steel exports by about 60,000 MT (21.42%) in the month of Mar’18 on monthly comparison.
As per the customs, the nation has exported about 340,000 MT Finish Long steel in March 2018 against 280,000 MT in February 2018, extended by 21.42% on monthly premises. In line with Y-o-Y, exports were gain by 6.25% against 320,000 MT in Mar’17.
Considerably sub-commodity wise Rebar has contributed the major exports proportionate and registered 250,000 MT contributes around 73.53% followed by Angle and Shapes 60,000 MT registered by 17.64% and MS Wire 30,000 MT stood by 8.82%.
In context to quarterly movement, exports during the 1st three months of calendar year 2018 (Jan-Mar) stood at 0.89 MnT as against same preceding last year at 0.78 MnT (Jan-Mar 2017), up by 14%.
As per the SteelMint’s assessment in March 2018, the crude steel production of the Russia was around 5.7 MnT which has been stretched by around 10.67% from Feb’18 at 5.15 MnT, on the other hand ferrous scrap exports seems improved by 21.21% with 0.4 MnT in Mar’18 against 0.33 MnT in Feb’18.
Country wise:
In the month of March 2018, the largest importer of Finish Long Steel from Russia was Kazakhstan – 60,000 MT, Belarus at 40,000 MT & Poland at 30,000 MT.
