As the war between Russia and Ukraine takes a turn for the worse, the possibility of disruption to exports of silico manganese from Ukraine, a leading seaborne supplier to especially Europe and Turkey, has become increasingly likely. Of total Ukrainian silico manganese exports of around 0.5 mnt in CY’21, the EU and Turkey accounted for over 0.4 mnt, SteelMint data show.
