Russia: Severstal’s crude steel production decreases 4% y-o-y in CY’20

Severstal – Russia’s integrated steelmaker has recorded crude steel production at 11.3 mn t in CY’20. Output decreased by 4% y-o-y against 11.8 mn t in CY’19, due to planned short term maintenance works at BOF#2 and lower production volumes of EAF steel following the sale of the Balakovo mini-mill in CY’19. Its crude steel output in Q4 stood at 2.76 mn t.
