Russian steelmaker Severstal made its first ever pellet export shipment to Brazil by exporting 100,000 t iron ore pellets to Companhia Siderurgica Nacional, Brazil (CSN), the former reported through a press release. Severtal’s Karelsky Okatysh iron ore subsidiary located in northwest Russia has “low-basic fluxed pellets” which were suitable for CSN’s blast furnaces, it said.
