Russia: Pig iron exports fall sharply in Jan’22

Russia’s pig iron exports fell sharply by 56.67% in Jan’22 to 0.15 mnt compared with 0.35 mnt in Dec’21, as per data recently released by customs.
The USA was the largest importer with 0.08 mnt, followed by Italy with 0.05 mnt.
However, export volumes rose sharply by 64% on year as against 0.09 mnt in Jan’21.
