Russia: NLMK’s crude steel output up 11% in H1 CY’21 on strong demand

Russia’s leading steelmaker NLMK Group has released its Q2 and H1 CY’21 results. Production highlights:

• Crude steel output stood at 8.8 mn t, up 11% y-o-y in H1.
• In Q2, steel output was recorded at 4.5 mn t, up 5% q-o-q.
• Production increased due to overhauls at NLMK Lipetsk’s BOF operations.
• Capacity utilisation in H1 increased by 2% y-o-y to 95%.
