Mikhailovsky GOK, a subsidiary of CIS steel major Metalloinvest, has launched pilot production of premium DR-grade pellets – with metallic content of 68% and only 0.003% sulphur – to be used to produce HBI/DRI. From use in BFs previously, the pellets will now be in demand for the production of metallised raw materials thereby ensuring energy savings and reduced emissions.
