Russia: Manganese Ore Imports Remains Stable in Apr’18

According to the Russian customs, the country maintained stability in its Manganese Ore imports in Apr’18.

Russia imported 0.1 MnT in Apr’18 against a similar quantity in the previous month. However, on yearly basis, Russian imports sees a substantial increase of 67% Y-o-Y as it imported 0.06 MnT in Apr’17.

Russia kept its Manganese Ore imports unchanged as it had already purchased in bulk earlier in an anticipation of a further rise in the commodity’s prices.

South Africa remained the largest exporter of Manganese Ore to Russia at 0.09 MnT, witnessing an increase of 12.5% M-o-M followed by Kazakhstan at 0.01 MnT among others.
