Russia, the 8th largest exporter of iron ore exported 2.31 MnT iron ore in Oct’17, according to the trade statistics released by Russian Customs.
Russian iron ore exports have increased by 83% M-o-M in Oct’17 as against 1.26 MnT in Sep’17. It also witnessed a rise of 26% Y-o-Y in Oct’17 against 1.84 MnT in Oct’16.
During Jan-Oct’17 Russia iron ore export increased by 15% to 17.35 MnT against 15.04 MnT previous year same period.
An agglomerated iron ore (pellets and concentrate) exports were up by 84% M-o-M to 1.23 MnT in Oct’17 against 0.67 MnT in Sep’17. The Y-o-Y change depicted a rise of 54% as compared 0.8 MnT in Oct’16.
A non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps & fines) exports increased by 81% to 1.07 MnT in Oct’17 compared to Sep’17 which stood at 0.59 MnT. It was up 3% Y-o-Y in Oct’17 as compared to 1.04 MnT in Oct’16.
Country-wise Russia Iron Ore Export-:
Russian iron ore exports in Oct’17 were directed mainly to China which stood at 0.77 MnT (a hike of 57% M-o-M), followed by Ukraine 0.32 MnT, Turkey 0.29 MnT and Finland 0.13 MnT.
