According to Russian customs data, flat steel exports which includes (7208 – HR coils/Plates,7209 – CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets) reported marginal decline of 2.3%,M-o-M basis to 0.82 MnT in May’17 in contrast to 0.84 MnT in Apr’17.
On yearly basis, Russia Flat steel exports moves down by 1.2% in May’17 against May’16. In May’16 country’s flat steel exports stood at 0.83 MnT.
In first five months (Jan-May) of 2017 nation’s flat steel exports showed the growth of 9.3% to 4.08 MnT compared to 3.73 MnT in the similar time-frame of previous year.

Country-wise Russia Flat Steel Exports in May’17-Turkey was the major importer of flat steel from Russia and accounts for 33.90 % of flat steel in May’17. Other major flat steel importers from Russia in May’17 were Belarus, Egypt,Kazakhstan,Iran and Mexico.
